David Songulashvili: “Cooperation with Serbia Will Contribute to Improving the Quality of Georgian Agri-Food Products, Enhancing Competitiveness, and Expanding Exports to European Markets”

 
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr David Songulashvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, Mr Dragan Glamočić.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations and expand cooperation in agriculture, water resource management, forestry, food safety, and veterinary services.

 

Minister Songulashvili emphasized that the official visit of the delegation led by the President of the Republic of Serbia to Georgia creates an important opportunity to further deepen bilateral relations and broaden cooperation across various sectors.



 

"During the meeting, we discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation and sharing experience. Particular attention was paid to the agricultural sector, given its significant potential to increase exports of Georgian agricultural products and to exchange knowledge and best practices. Active cooperation between our two countries will contribute to improving the quality of Georgian agri-food products, enhancing their competitiveness, and expanding their presence in European markets," Mr David Songulashvili stated.

 

The parties also expressed their readiness to establish a joint working group that will serve as a platform for coordinating cooperation in the identified areas and implementing new initiatives.

 

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, Mr Dragan Glamočić, is paying a visit to Georgia as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr Aleksandar Vučić.
