David Songulashvili Participated in the Expanded-Format Meeting with the Delegation of the President of the Republic of Serbia at the Government Administration

Within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, the Administration of the Government of Georgia held an expanded-format meeting with the Serbian governmental delegation. The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze.

"The visit of the President of Serbia to Georgia is being held for the first time in the history of independent Georgia, which clearly demonstrates the importance of relations between the two countries. I am confident that this will contribute to the further deepening of cooperation, particularly in free trade. Moreover, Georgia has free trade agreements with several countries, which create significant opportunities for the production and processing of agri-food products.

Cooperation with Serbia provides additional scope for developing Georgia’s agricultural production and processing, including strengthening of export capacities. At the same time, Serbia’s experience is essential for us not only in agriculture but also in water resources management. Ultimately, further deepening cooperation in these areas will contribute to the growth of local production and enhancing of export potential, which will  have a positive impact on the country’s economic development," said Mr David Songulashvili.
