David Songulashvili Meets with Staff of the Newly Established Dedoplistskaro Division of the Department of Environmental Supervision
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, met with employees of the newly established Dedoplistskaro Division of the Department of Environmental Supervision.The Dedoplistskaro Division was established and added to the Department's Kakheti Regional Office as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the Department's regional presence and operational capacity. The Ministry has provided a dedicated facility to accommodate the Division's environmental patrol and rapid response teams.
During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on addressing the key environmental challenges facing the Dedoplistskaro area, particularly illegal logging and poaching. The Division's personnel actively implement preventive measures, maintain 24-hour environmental patrols, and ensure a rapid operational response throughout their area of responsibility.
"A new Dedoplistskaro Division has been added to the Kakheti Regional Office of the Department of Environmental Supervision. This decision is aimed at further strengthening state environmental control in the region and enhancing the speed and effectiveness of operational response. A stronger regional presence will significantly improve both law enforcement and the implementation of preventive measures," said Mr. David Songulashvili.
The Deputy Minister, Mr. Giorgi Tskrialashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Mr. Gela Samkharauli, Mayor of Dedoplistskaro, Mr Nikoloz Janiashvili, Deputy Heads of the Department of Environmental Supervision, Mr. Vazha Tabatadze and Mr. Zurab Uglava, and Head of the Kakheti Regional Office, Mr. Ucha Solomnishvili, accompanied the Minister.
