David Songulashvili: “We are committed to supporting enterprises that produce competitive Georgian products based on modern standards”

As part of his visit to the Imereti region, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, visited the enterprise of LLC “Family Retail” in Kutaisi.

 

Minister Songulashvili reviewed the company’s infrastructure, the production processes of ready-made meals, confectionery products, and semi-finished goods, including its modern technologies and production capabilities. The Minister met with the company’s management and discussed issues related to the development of the sector, quality standards, and strengthening local production.

 

“ Our goal is to foster the development of enterprises that produce high-quality, competitive Georgian products in line with modern standards,” stated Mr. David Songulashvili.

 

LLC “Family Retail” produces ready-made meals, confectionery products, and semi-finished products. The company also owns a chain of grocery stores comprising 30 branches. The enterprise occupies a 4,000-square-meter facility and is equipped with modern machinery and equipment. The products manufactured by the company are sold on the local market.

 

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture was accompanied by Deputy Minister, Mr. Giorgi Tskrialashvili, Kutaisi Majoritarian Delegate to the Parliament of Georgia, Mr. Zaza Lominadze, Director of the Rural Development Agency, Mr. Zurab Gozalishvili, Head of the National Food Agency, Mr. Giorgi Iakobashvili, and representatives of the local authorities.
