Lasha Avaliani Attends Opening of Renovated Compound Animal Feed Production Facility in Gardabani

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr Lasha Avaliani, attended the opening event of the renovated compound animal feed production facility operated by Invet Group in Gardabani.

The Deputy Minister noted that modernising the facility and expanding its production capacity are vital to advancing the agricultural sector, strengthening local production, and supporting the manufacture of high-quality products.

“The development of agriculture requires not only support for primary production but also the strengthening of the processing and production capacities that ensure the efficient functioning of the sector. The quality and availability of compound animal feed are closely linked to the development of livestock farming.  It is encouraging to see the private sector investing substantially in expanding production capacity, introducing modern technologies, and improving product quality. Subsequently, the cooperation between the state and the private sector is an important prerequisite for the sustainable development of agriculture and for enhancing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector,” Mr Lasha Avaliani stated.

The comprehensive reconstruction and re-equipment of the facility were carried out in 2025–2026. The company invested GEL 6.7 million in the project. As a result, a modern production facility meeting current industry standards has been established, with an annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes. The facility also houses a laboratory that meets European standards.

Invet Group is a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency, which receives support through government programmes.
