The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture together with the Czech Development Agency (CzDA) organized a meeting on "Strengthening Sustainable Management Capabilities of Chemical Substances".
The issues of bringing the chemical system in line with the European model, creating legislation and strengthening capabilities have been discussed by the participants of the meeting.
The Czech Development Agency will help Georgia to develop management capabilities to deal with the chemical waste and create proper legislation, furthermore, sharing of international experience and knowledge will play an important role in the creation of effective system of managing chemical substances in Georgia.
Under the frame of the workshop, the representatives of the international companies (DEKONTA and MEDISTYL-in charge of providing technical and professional services ) introduced the participants with the project "Creating Rational Management Potential for Chemical Substances - Introduction of CLP and REACH Regulations".
The representatives of different state agencies attended the meeting.
