Levan Davitashvili: Georgian Wine Festival is the Celebration of Successful Grape Harvest

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili opened ‘’Georgian Wine Festival 2018’’ in Shardeni , Sioni Street.
Wine festival to hold in October has become a tradition- was noted, by the Minister. “Wine month includes a number of activities. First we started with Wine Day and as a result of great interest, now we are celebrating Wine Month, which includes various events in Tbilisi as well as in different regions of Georgia. This is a celebration of successful grape vintage, which has brought the record amount of income to the farmers this year. This is a celebration. The promotion of Georgian wine is very important for our country, that’s what we are constantly striving for“- said Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

"Georgian Wine Festival 2018" online store and media portal Allwine.ge and "Maidan Group" will be held for the second time. Along with big companies, small cellars are actively engaged willingly presenting their production, visitors have opportunities to taste a small amount of wine that they might not come across everywhere.
Along with wine tasting and exhibition-selling, various products will be presented at the festival, including cheese, churchkhela, dried fruit , honey and Georgian accessories.
