Levan Davitashvili received an Honorary Guest Title in Buenos Aires

Under the official visit to the Republic of Argentina, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili has been awarded with the Honorable Guest Title in the Parliament of Buenos Aires. The initiative belonged to the Member of Parliament Ezequiel Fernández Langan. The members of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires along with the press representatives and members of the Georgian delegation attended the award ceremony. It should be noted, that Levan Davitashvili is the first official who has received an Honorary Guest Title.
Argentinian side is well aware about Georgia’s rich cultural traditions. They attach great importance to the co-operation with European partners - was noted by Ezekiel Langan at the meeting. According to him, Georgia as a European country deserves best partner relations and Georgian delegation to pay a visit to Buenos Aires is very important in this respect. Levan Davitashvili thanked the members of the parliament for their support and noted, that Georgia attaches great importance to the development of trade-economic relations with Latin American countries.
The visit of the delegation serves to achieve a specific goal that is to provide a support to private sector, expand bussiness contacts and through economic ties to derive greater economic benefits, increase welfare and improve living standards of the country.
The award ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to the Republic of Chile, Paraguay, Republic of Uruguay, Republic of Ecuador and the multinational state of Bolivia, Irakli Khurashvili and the Head of the National Food Agency of Georgia, Zurab Chekurashvili.
