Today’s data reveals tangerine export to amount to 8,595 tons

According to the data of December 3, tangerine export amounted to 8,595 tons. Due to the abundant harvest, citrus export  will be increased to other countries. Russia, Ukraine and Armenia, as well as Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Latvia remain as major exporting countries. The wholesale price on tangerines fluctuates from 0.40 to 0.70 GEL.
With the support of the government of Ajara,  the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara opened the coordination center, which is operated in Adjara region to promote the smooth flow of tangerine delivery process.
The hot line of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (1501) is operated in the center, where all interested persons can get the necessary information. Non-standard and poor quality tangerines subsidize program is launched from November 25. Under the decision of the Government of Adjara, state will pay 10 tetri subsidy for one kg of non-standard poor quality tangerines.
