The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nodar Kereselidze opened the workshop with a welcome speech on the ‘’Responsible and Safe Management of Radioactive Waste and Spent Fuel’’. 
The First Deputy Minister has been focused on the necessity to share best practices in the field of radioactive waste management. The international experts participated in the meeting which was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
