Informational meeting for media representatives
The informational meeting for media representatives was held within the initiative and support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and EU Project “Technical Assistance for Awareness and Communication to Improve Waste Management Practices in Georgia and the Visibility of EU Support to the Sector”. The participants have been focused on issues related to the international practices in waste management, modern approaches, best experience and challenges faced by Georgia etc. More than 50 Central and Regional Media representatives attended the workshop.
.The workshop aimed to raise awareness of media representatives on the planned and implemented activities in the field of waste management and introduce them with the best practices shared by the local and international experts. The implementation of environmental obligations taken under the Association Agreement as well as importance of extended producer responsibility, which will enter into the force from December, 2019 was stressed at the meeting.
