Winners of Eco-Grant Awards Program
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Nino Tandilashvili awarded the winners of the Eco-Grants Program. The eco-grants program is initiated and funded by the BP and its partners within the frame of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Oil and South Caucasus Gas Pipeline Project.
The program is implemented by CTC in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The program aims to fund projects targeted at increasing environmental awareness and implementation of environmental activities.
The program is consisted of two stages. The first stage included grant competition to submit 25 projects from 24 organizations. The competition has revealed 3 winners:Â
• Energy Efficiency Center Georgia - project "Eco-Energy People’s hope for Children".• Regional Environmental Center for the Caucasus - Project "Establishment of Principles of Soil and Water Sustainable Management to Reduce Land Degradation Risks and Improve Economic    Conditions for Vulnerable Small Farmers".
• Green Borjomi - project: "Reducing adverse impacts on Kvabiskhevi forest through introduction of energy efficient technologies"
