The Third Steering Committee Meeting of the Twinning project
The third meeting of the Steering Committee focused on the ‘’Approximation and implementation of the EU environmental 'acquis' in the fields of industrial pollution and industrial hazards’’ was held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nino Tandilashvili led the meeting, which was comprised of the members of the Steering Committee. Under the frame of the project the participants discussed the third quarterly report and highlighted future activities as well.
Alvaro Ortega Aparicio, Program Manager for Environment and Rural Development at the EU Delegation to Georgia and representatives of the Ministry attended the meeting.
It should be noted, that the twinning project is targeted at strengthening the administrative capacities of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia for approximation and implementation of the EU environmental 'acquis' and improve organizational performance in the fields of industrial pollution and industrial hazards.
