250 000 $ USD was allocated for Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park

The grant agreement was signed between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Agency of Protected Areas and the Global Conservation Fund (GC) in the Administration of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, which envisages the allocation of $250,000 for Georgia’s Borjomi-Kharagauli national park. According to the agreement, the fund will be spent in 3 years.‘’We believe, that technical assistance we receive from the Global Conservation Fund is the benefit for the Agency for Protected Territories and for rangers. This will enable the administration of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park to fulfill their obligations, "said the Deputy Minister, Giorgi Khanishvili.The aim of the cooperation is to protect the biodiversity of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park and ensure efficient management. The agreement envisages financial and technical support, including provision of relevant equipment for Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, which will facilitate to the improvement of patrol system, protection and effective management of natural resources.
The Agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Khanishvili, Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas,
 Valerian Mchedlidze and the Head of the foundation Jeff Morgan.
