Levan Davitashvili attended the annual meeting of heads of diplomatic missions abroad

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili took part in the Annual Meeting of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions of Georgia Abroad  "Ambassadors Conference 2018". According to the Minister, Georgian Diaspora plays a great role in terms of assisting their compatriots and pointed out their active engagement in market diversification and export related issues, or providing technical assistance and grant programs.
The banning of land alienation to foreigners as the respective record included in the Constitution of Georgia upon the request of our population, also potential of Georgians living abroad was brought forward by Levan Davitashvili.

I think our diaspora has great potential to make investments in the agricultural sector "said Levan Davitashvili. The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture stressed the importance of Georgian wine export and thanked the Heads of Georgian Diplomatic Missions Abroad for their contribution in popularization of Georgian wine. Georgian wine is exported to 40 countries and is regarded as one of the most important products. The promotion of wine is a precondition, which will promote Georgian wine to other countries markets.

This is mostly related to the activities undertaken independently or cooperatively. We are actively cooperating in this direction. We should note, that there is a close and effective cooperation between the wine sector and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs"- stated Levan Davitashvili.
