The fifth plenary meeting was conducted under the frame of the National Forest Program. The Minister provided participants with the reforms implementing in the forestry sector.The activities implemented in the forestry sector, results achieved in the previous year as well as future plans was brought forward by the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili at the meeting.
➡ In September 2013, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia launched a national forest program, which aimed to provide a support and ensure coordination of forestry policy processes in Georgia. The national forest program is based on new forest policy and meets international standards.The program aims to ensure active participation of all stakeholders in decision making processes.

At the meeting, the participants evaluated ongoing process  and defined objectives of the working groups. The representatives of the non-governmental organizations, international organizations and diplomatic corps attended the meeting.
