The meeting with the representatives of German business sector
 The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Chkheidze met with the Regional Director of the Eastern European Region of the Federal Republic of Germany Martin Hoffmann and Director of the company for cold storage and industrial facilities ‘’Plawi-Service’’, Ingolf Mayer.
 At the meeting, Giorgi Chkheidze provided guests with the information on projects implemented by the Agricultural Projects Management Agency under the frame of the preferential agro-credit purposing to built cold storage facilities for agricultural products in Georgia.
 The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of the private sector engagement within state programs in terms of raising farmers competitiveness. He drew his attention to the need of cold storage facilities not only in terms of storage or selling agro products, but to facilitate industrial processes as well.
 According to Giorgi Chkheidze, the development of cold storage facilities will further contribute to the value chain development, reduce import and increase export in the country. The representatives of the German Business Sector provided Georgian side with the detailed information about their companies and expressed their willingness for future cooperation.
