International Conference on 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

"We admit, that a healthy environment is essential for human health and well-being and is an integral part of human rights. The Government of Georgia makes endeavors  to create a safe environment, thus contributing to human health and decreasing pollution- declared the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Solomon Pavliashvili at the conference " 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda’’.The environmental component is an important part of the sustainable development goals, this process includes municipal waste management, improvement of atmospheric air quality in urban areas, biodiversity protection, as well as sustainable development of forests-was noted by the Deputy Minister.

The “2030 Sustainable Development Agenda – Tbilisi Implementation Conference’’ will last for 2 days. The participants will discuss challenges of the sustainable development and make an overview of the practices and experiences .

The members of the Parliament, representatives of Government, United Nations and Federal Republic of Germany, also non-governmental organizations participate in the conference.
