Levan Davitashvili attended the International Green Week 2019 Opening Ceremony in Berlin

The World's largest exhibition for Food Industry, Agriculture and Horticulture "Green Week 2019" (Gruene Woche 2019) was opened in Berlin. At the official opening ceremony, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel addressed the participants.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili, Advisor to Prime Minister of Georgia David Kirvalidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Germany Elguja Khokrishvili and members of Georgian Delegation attended the event.
The exhibition stand comprising of different agricultural products is presented in the "Green Week 2019" with the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia. Up to 20 Georgian producers will present their products including Georgian wine, chacha, lemonade, natural juices, tea, churchkhela, dry fruit, gozinaki, tklapi-(a traditional Georgian puréed fruit roll-up leather), tkemali, fruit puree, hazelnut.. etc. Georgian honey considering as the competitive product which fully meets the EU standards will be presented in the exhibition for the first time.
Within the frame of the Gruene Woche 2019, different Georgian companies: "Kimerioni", "Chelti", "Badagoni", "Mildiani", "Schukhmann Wines", "Kula", "GeoHouse", "Makovsky Rusa", "kona "," Geoplant ", KTW," Geonaturals "and" Nugbari "; Also, "P/ E Tamaz Ghlonti" and cooperative "GeoLine" displayed their products. Georgian National Tourism Administration takes part in the exhibition; With the support of "Produce Georgia", 3 companies participate in the exhibition.
Berlin International Exhibition "Gruene Woche" is considered as one of the largest and prestigious agricultural exhibitions around the world. Over the last 84 years, the International Exhibition "Gruene Woche" is being held annually. This year more than 2000 companies from different countries are presenting more than 100,000 food products in the exhibition. The number of visitors is increasing each year, at present it exceeded 500 000. in 2019, Finland is the "Green Week" partner country along with Germany.
This year, Georgia will present different agricultural products at the exhibition. It should be noted, that Georgian products gained importance and popularity in the international markets after signing the Association Agreement with the European Union.
