For the first time, Georgia participates in Sirha, a large-scale gastronomy exhibition in Lyon, France

Georgia’s participation in the most prestigious gastronomy contest was organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture along with the National Intellectual Property Center "Sakpatenti", National Wine Agency, Georgian Culinary Federation and business agency of food establishment ‘’Gastronaut ".
Mayor of Lyon, Gérard Collomb and President of Bocuse d'Or Gastronomic Championship, Jérôme Bocuse opened an exhibition, which hosted over 6,000 visitors. At the exhibition, eleven young, most promising Georgian chefs, led by the head chef, Levan Kobiashvili demonstrated a modern interpretation of traditional Georgian cuisine and authentic ingredients.
 ''We have become a member of a big culinary family. This time Georgian professional cooks will hold the best introduction of Georgian cuisine and present food with the highest standards, that is established under the Syrha and ‘’Bocuse d'Or "- said the Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Davit Tkemaladze.
Cooking took place in the open kitchen and exhibition visitors were given an opportunity to study and taste Georgian dishes such as Khinkali, Khachapuri, Chakapuli, Dablakhacho, Kharcho, Elarji. Special space was allocated for wine tasting.
At the Georgian stand, the President of Bocuse d'Or Gastronomic Championship, Jérôme Bocuse tasted Georgian dishes. Georgian stand was visited by prominent French chef, François Baqary. He met Georgian cooks and shared his experience and impressions.
"Sirha 2019" is the largest culinary exhibition organized in Lyon, France, bringing together people, producers, organizations engaged in the food industry all over the world.
