The Project "Global Forest Watch" (GFW) National Advisory Board Meeting

The sixth meeting of the project "Global Forest Watch" (GFW) National Advisory Board was held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, where participants brought forward activities implemented under the frame of the Global Forest Watch (GFW) project and noted, that national atlas will be created for forest and land use, through which the information about forestry sector will be publicly available for all interested parties.
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Yuri Nozadze underlined the importance of forest and land use atlas in Georgia.
The forest and land use atlas to create as an interactive online application that allows to find a relevant information, also, thus related ongoing and planned activities were discussed by participants. The representatives of governmental as well as environmental non-governmental organizations engaged in the forestry sector attended the meeting.
