Meeting with the poultry producers and importers
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Khanishvili together with the officials of relevant agencies held a meeting with poultry producers and importers. The issues related to poultry meat processing, product technology and the amount of water was discussed at the meeting. The Deputy expressed his opinion to address this issue at the legislative level and noted, that the regulation will place local producers and importers in equal conditions.
The sides reconfirmed their commitment to continue regular meetings and study the above mentioned points in detail, also to develop legislative initiatives, which subsequently will ensure the delivery of high quality products to consumers.
Approximately forty poultry producers and representatives of poultry sector attended the meeting.
