Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with GIPA

The  Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili and Rector of GIPA, Maka Ioseliani signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The memorandum includes five years and considers : providing information to the university in order to further develop and improve the quality of learning ; Conducting public lectures for students and internship programs for young motivated graduates at the different agencies within the Ministry.

"Under the frame of  the Memorandum, we will have close cooperation with GIPA. It is important, that students get information about the activities implemented by the Ministry and have opportunities to pass their field internship programs. We are ready to open the door to young professionals and employ them. Our challenges will be responded by young, motivated employees " said Levan Davitashvili.

Rector of GIPA, Maka Ioseliani stressed the importance of cooperation with the Ministry and noted, that Memorandum gives students opportunities to increase their practical skills and gain practical work experience at the Ministry.

On the other hand, GIPA expresses readiness to provide the Ministry with the scientific works published by the university and, if necessary, develop special courses for the employees of the Ministry. It is noteworthy, that GIPA has a MA Program in Environmental Management and Policy, which effectively prepares staff for competency-based job. It should be noted, that this is the only master's degree program in the environmental field in Georgia.Â
