Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture hosted the representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP)

The participants brought forward issues, regarding to develop a single framework to integrate Agricultural Development Strategy with the Rural Development Strategy.
According to the Deputy Minister, to implement European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and rural Development ( ENPARD) IV phase, the two policy documents namely -Agricultural Development Strategy and Rural Development Strategy should be integrated and submitted as a single framework document. 

In the new strategy the main focus will be set on the environmental issues under the mandate of the Ministry -was stated by the Deputy, who thanked representatives of Donor Organizations for their support and with respect to the above mentioned document expressed her hope for further fruitful cooperation with International Organizations.

The European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) has been implemented in Georgia since 2013 (2013-2022).The programme aims at reinvigorating the agriculture and the rural sector in the country, considering sustainable agricultural development principles. The total budget for ENPARD in Georgia, covering the period of 2013-2022 is €179.5 million.

The representatives of the relevant Agencies of the Ministry attended the meeting held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
