March 22 -International Water Day

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture,  Nino Tandilashvili attended the conference "Water Resource Management Policy in Georgia and Sustainable Development Goals" in the hotel ‘’Biltmore Tbilisi".

The Deputy Minister addressed invited guests. The participants discussed the draft law on Water Resources, Georgia's commitments under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AA), implementation of the SDG 6, and underlined the importance of implementing reforms in the sustainable management of water resources. 

The International Day for Water Resources is celebrated worldwide since 1993 embracing a number of environmental activities. This year’s theme is ‘’Leaving no one behind’’.

The conference was organized by the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia, the Global Water Partnership and the Swedish Graduates Network in Georgia, which was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia and Armenia, Ulrich Tidestrom, representatives of Government and NGOs and experts.
