Yuri Nozadze hosted the Government Delegation of the Province of Hunan

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Yuri Nozadze met with the members of the government delegation of the province of Hunan, People's Republic of China.

At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of deepening cooperation between the two countries and underlined the importance of sharing experience.

The Deputy Minister thanked Chinese side for their economic support and assistance in successful implementation of the energy efficient greenhouse project in the village of Shulveri,  Marneuli municipality. Under the above mentioned project the introduction of modern technologies in the vegetable farming and vegetable care-maintenance became available for farmers. The project also included retraining courses for Georgian farmers to increase their knowledge and skills.

The members of the delegation provided Georgian side with the agricultural development stages in the province of Hunan. The issues related to the cultivation and export of tea in Hunan, which takes one of the top places in the World rankings was also discussed at the meeting.
At the meeting, the participants underlined the importance of the tea plantations rehabilitation program in Georgia, introduction of new breeds of tea plants and sharing experience with Georgian partners, they also pointed out the growing trend of Georgian wine export to China. 

The Members of the Chinese delegation were informed on the potential of water resources and development of aquaculture in Georgia.
"The Free Trade Agreement between China and Georgia facilitates to the development of trade-economic relations and implementation of future projects" said the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Yuri Nozadze. 

The participants were focused on the memorandum of cooperation in the fields of viticulture and winemaking, under which the Georgian wine cellar was made and Georgian grape varieties were planted in China.

According to the Deputy Director of the trade department of Hunan province, Georgia is considered as an important partner to Hunan province, China and is looking forward to further cooperation.Â
