Levan Davitashvili met with the Ambassador of Latvia, Ingrida Levrence

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Georgia, Ingrida Levrence.

At the meeting, the sides confirmed multi-year friendship and partnership between the two countries and underlined the importance of further deepening cooperation and sharing experience in different fields.

Georgian dairy products to have good quality and highly demanded was mentioned by the Ambassador at the meeting. Under the frame of the trade and economic relations between the two countries, the sides discussed specific areas for further cooperation and underlined the growth opportunities and export potential of Georgian products in the Baltic countries including dairy, wine, vegetable and mineral water.

Levan Davitashvili underlined the importance of the development of environmental legislation and noted, that sharing of Latvia's experience is important in this regard.

The importance of projects implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia to support entrepreneurs and farmers was also stressed at the meeting.
