Under the China Assistance Project "Equipment for Combating Asian Stink Bug", the transfer document upon delivery of equipment was signed between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and Government of the People's Republic of China

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Georgia, Ji Yanchi signed the document.

Levan Davitashvili thanked the Ambassador, expressed appreciation to the support provided from Chinese side and noted, that cooperation between Georgia and China has been strengthened in a number of directions over the last years.

" China has provided further assistance to Georgia. Moreover, the delivered equipment will significantly contribute to fight against the Asian stink bug, also to combat various other diseases. We have received an assistance from the Government of China for a number of times, that is a confirmation of friendship and close cooperation between our countries "said Levan Davitashvili.

"The Chinese government within its competence helps Georgia in the fight against the Asian stink bug. The equipment delivered to Georgian side will help the country to solve the Asian stink bug related problem and facilitate to the uninterrupted development of agriculture in the long-term perspective "said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Georgia Ji Yanchi.

The Head of National Food Agency Zurab Chekurashvili attended the meeting .
