Presentation on Biodiversity Restoration Program was held in Krtsanisi Forest Park
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze addressed the audience.Â
In his speech, Mamuka Bakhtadze set a main focus on the green economy, thereby, he underlined the importance of biodiversity protection and restoration of endangered species and unique habitats.
"Today we have launched an important project. I will say it with great pleasure, that not only our generation but our future generations will be proud of this project. We start to restore and develop Krtsanisi Forest Park. We will create a real live museum at this place "said the Prime Minister of Georgia.
At the event, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili made a presentation of the program, where he brought forward main functions of the wildlife agency, which was established under the Biodiversity Protection Program. The main function of the Agency will be to monitor local flora and fauna along with the continuous survey of natural processes.

"The National Wildlife Agency will be established within the framework of the " Green Economy " strategy announced as one of the top priority issues by our government. Moreover, Agency will undertake measures to restore biodiversity across the country" said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Within the frame of the event, ‘’Colchian Pheasant" was released in Krtsanisi Forest Park.
