Eco tourist infrastructure was arranged on the area of natural waterfall monument Okatse
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, together with the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili visited the village Kinchkha, Khoni municipality. The aim of the Government officials visit was to see the new eco-tourism infrastructure arranged on the Natural waterfall Okatse, which was organized by the Protected Areas of Georgia. Walking trails and observation platforms have been arranged as well as a Visitors Center at the natural monument, which will make the experience of tourists safer and more comfortable. The infrastructure project was funded with GEL 1,100,000 from the state budget. Okatse Waterfall is a distinctive monument of Georgia's protected areas and one of the greatest three cascade waterfalls in Georgia. Along the canyon, several waterfalls can be found, the height of one 70 meters.Â
The well-arranged infrastructure will increase the number of tourists in the region, which will be positively reflected on the socio-economic situation of the local population.
Till today the Natural monument will host visitors.
