Meeting with young farmers

"Engaging young people in the agriculture is very important. The youth are the main driving force in the development of agriculture " said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili at the meeting with young Farmers Association of Georgia (GFA).
 The Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze attended the meeting organized by the Georgian Farmers Association (GFA) at the Hotel "Holiday Inn". The PM highlighted prospects for   agricultural and rural development and noted, that agrarian sector will definitely say its word in the economic development of the country and the 21st century will be successful and based on modern technologies.
 At the meeting Levan Davitashvili have been focused on farmers to enhance their capacities and develop professional skills and  underlined the role of knowledge in this regard.
"Considering the latest trends observed in recent years, farmers are  getting more interested and engaged in the agricultural activities. Farming  is not easy, as farmers have to deal with  the risks related to the entrepreneurship and production as well as natural disasters, accordingly farming is a rather difficult job and requires strength and great courage. I am grateful to do business with you "said Levan Davitashvili.
Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport attended the meeting with young farmers, which included a Q&A session.
The meeting also included a  presentation of the book "Livestock-Poultry-Production Technology - Production Technology" developed by the Georgian Farmers Association (GFA). The financial support  to publish the book was provided by the  Reserve Fund of the President and fund "Constanta.
