"Development of high mountainous regions, as well as promotion of livestock sector is very important for our country, therefore, Georgian Government implements  a number of projects in this direction, provides co-funding of  cooperative farms in more than 20 municipalities
and helps farmers to increase their productivity and produce high quality products.

"Blaunstein-Georgia" is a clear example of a successful cooperation between Georgia and Switzerland. In the mountainous region of Georgia, Racha,  the company created a good model, that encompasses the whole chain of meat production and provides ecologically clean and high quality products, which is in line with the European standards.

It is important to implement similar projects and give an incentive to entrepreneurs to further develop livestock sector and promote production process in the country "said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili at the opening event.

In the modern meat store the consumers will be able to buy not only high quality fresh meat or aged meat, but  fermented semi-dry/dried meat products as well. Production is made in accordance with the European quality standards without any chemical additives or supplement. Investment in the project amounts to GEL 2 mln.

It should be noted, that company provides value chain control on meat production, which means to conduct supervision on the full cycle of production in line with European protocol requirements. This leads to produce higher quality products. The company introduces modern standards  along with traditional methods. For the first time in Georgia, Blauenstein Georgia has started to produce the so-called ripened meat that meets modern standards. 
Blauenstein Georgia, a company created by Georgian-Swiss investments has been operating in Racha since 2008.The total investment put in the company amounts to  30 million GEL. The company owns the best cattle farm, primary processing enterprise and two shops. The first store was opened in Tbilisi in 2015.
