Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture participates in the celebration of Independence Day of Georgia

On May 26, the events dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia are held throughout Georgia, with the common concept "Knowledge leads to freedom".


Within the event, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia presents two different exhibition stands - green space and wine corner in Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi .
 
The concept of green space aims to increase environmental education and share knowledge, it also includes spaces for cognitive, informational and entertainment activities and games. The guests will be able to participate in educational and environmental activities, games and quizzes, visitors will get familiar with relevant environmental issues by means of the work of installation art on environment and will be provided with different constructions.
The space will be arranged for visitors, where they will get virtual eyeglasses- an application of virtual reality to travel to Okatse, Kolkheti, Machakhela, Mtirala, Martvili, Algeti and Vashlovani National Parks and Protected Areas


The wine corner is organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture at the exhibition stand, where 8,000-year history of winemaking, wine pottery and information material discovered through archaeological excavations and Georgia’s continuous tradition of winemaking is presented. Furthermore, eight young, successful winemakers present their products to share their experiences in winemaking. The exhibition stand provides an opportunity to visitors to taste and buy various Georgian wines.
 
Georgian national anthem will be performed at 17:10 on May 26, at the time when Georgia's independence was first announced in 1918.
 
At the exhibition stand organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the national anthem will be performed by Deaf musicians team using hand gestures.

Under the frame of the Independence Day of Georgia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture presented exhibition stands in the cities Ozurgeti and Akhaltsikhe. Wine, cheese, tea, honey and other products brought from different regions of Georgia  are presented at the exhibition stands, which also includes selling of some folk art paintings and handicraft and provides visitors with the information on National Parks and Protected Areas, moreover, cognitive lecture-seminars are also held at the event to raise public awareness.
