The Independence Day of Georgia May 26 marked by solemn events in Akhaltsikhe

On May 26, several thematic areas are arranged in Rabati Castle, including awareness rising, entertainment, cultural and exhibition spaces. The exhibition stand is arranged for visitors for sharing information on Georgian Protected Areas and National Parks. The school children make presentations on the Protected Areas of Georgia".
Within the event, the first female rangers - those who are long and widely experienced and younger ones will be awarded for making a significant and notable contribution in the development of protected areas.
Within the event, the exhibition and sale of local products will be held.
The exhibition space includes Georgian theater, cinema, sound art or music installations, exhibitions, theatrical musical performances.
In the entertainment space there is also a corner for children where best cognitive entertainment activities, games and sports competitions are held throughout the day.

Georgia's independence was declared in 1918, in consequence, Georgian national anthem will be played at 17:10, when country’s independence was recognized for the first time.
