Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili attended the exhibition "Belagro-2012"

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili, Advisor to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Omar Kacharava and representatives of Georgian business sector paid a visit to Minsk to attend the opening of the 29th International Exhibition of Agricultural Products and Techniques Belagro-2012.

Under the frame of the event, the Vice-Premier of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Dvornick and Minister of Food and Agriculture, Anatoly Khotko visited exhibition stands.
Georgian delegation had an opportunity to get acquainted with the products presented at the exhibition, as well as latest technologies; "Business meetings  between the representatives of Georgian and Belarus business sector held under the format of the exhibition are the best platform for future cooperation" said the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Belarus, Valeri Kvaratskhelia expressed his desire in relation with Georgian companies to participate in the international exhibition "Belagro-2012" in the future.
Within the exhibition, the meeting was held with the Director General of Minsk Tractor Works    Fedor Domotenko, (MTW) as well. At the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for agricultural cooperation including agricultural technologies. The General Director of "Agricultural Logistics and Services Company" Murtaz Kipiani attended the meeting.

During the meeting with the Chairman of  Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Cooperatives Board, Valery Ivanov , the two sides highlighted the importance and perspectives of trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Belarus; The sides discussed  Georgian tea and citrus export related issues and set focus on opportunities for Georgian products export in the Belarus market.
