The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Nino Tandilashvili held a meeting with the representatives of one of the largest automobile producing companies worldwide "Toyota" European head office.
Nino Tandilashvili noted, that emission standards will be introduced for cars, due to which the import of cars will be gradually in line with the modern European standards in the country.
The representatives of "Toyota" shared international experience with Georgian side.
"The old car park is revealed as one of the main sources of air pollution in the largest cities. Consequently, replacement of conventional vehicles with environmentally friendly - electric cars will bring positive results and improve the ambient air quality in the country" said Nino Tandilashvili.
