Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture employs MA students of GIPA Environmental Management and Policy program

MA students of GIPA Environmental Management and Policy program passed three-month internship at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The  most successful students will be employed in the relevant agencies of the Ministry. The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nino Tandilashvili  held a meeting with the students. The deputy Minister congratulated students on successful completion of the internship program and wished them success in their future endeavors.

" We believe, that young generation to  have a positive attitude towards public sector is very important. We create an environmental policy, adopt regulations, set up institutional arrangements, thereupon, we face important challenges and need young, motivated professionals.
 
The internship provides a good opportunity for graduates to apply their theoretical knowledge into practice, develop professional skills and gain experience "- stated Nino Tandilashvili at the meeting.
Moreover, it was mentioned, that active cooperation between the  public sector and universities will be further continued, which means, that if students successfully complete their internship program, they will be employed in the Ministry and Agencies functioning within the Ministry. 

The internship program for MA students of GIPA Environmental Management and Policy
Program is being implemented within the frame of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).
The GIPA program for Environmental Management and Policy was developed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Environmental Information and Education Center and with the support of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The program aims to prepare highly qualified specialists in the field of environmental management and policy, who will work successfully both in public and private sectors.
