Peach and nectarine harvest enters the active phase

The peach and nectarine harvest is progressing smoothly and efficiently, entering the active phase in Kakheti region. 
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili  visited Gurjaani municipality to get acquainted with the harvesting process.
 
"Farmers will not face problems regarding,  harvesting, storing or selling the fruit. 
Similar to  previous year, preparation and submitting  of all necessary regulatory documents will be carried out under the single-window system to promote the peach export. The representatives of phyto sanitary and customs services are engaged in the process "said Solomon Pavliashvili.
 
The Deputy Minister visited village Chumlaki, Gurjaani Municipality as well, where he got acquainted  with the operation process of the fruit  farm refrigeration system, which is equipped with modern standards.
Currently, the volume of peach and nectarine exported from Georgia amounted to 79.6 tons. To facilitate the sale of peach, the working group is established at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, which actively works in the following fields: obtaining information, systemization,  connecting  farmers directly with buyers.
