As of July 1, 2019, about 1000 tons of peaches and nectarines were exported from Georgia

The minimum wholesale price of peaches and nectarines amounts to 0.7 GEL, whereby maximum wholesale price is 1.5 GEL in Gurjaani municipality.

Similar to prior year, all necessary export documents will be prepared and issued under the single window principle to facilitate the peach export.

The representatives of phytosanitary and customs services are engaged in the above mentioned process.

Due to climatic conditions, this year, peach harvest has started later in Georgia, which resulted in a decline in export compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, when more than 2,000 tons of peaches were exported.

To facilitate the sale of peach, the working group is established at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, which actively works in the following fields: obtaining information, systemization,  connecting  farmers directly with buyers.
