Batumi hosts the International Donor Conference "Support for Rural and Agricultural Development"

The International Donor Conference "Support for Rural and Agricultural Development" organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Autonomous Republic of Adjara was held in Batumi

The Chairman of Adjara AR Government, Tornike Rizhvadze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani and Minister of Agriculture of Adjara, Tite Aroshidze delivered opening speeches at the event.
At the conference, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture,  Khatia Tsilosani underlined the importance of support provided by Donor-International organizations for rural and agricultural development in Georgia and drew her attention to the successful agricultural projects implemented in close cooperation with the Government of Georgia and  donor organizations.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Tite Aroshidze expressed his gratitude to the representatives of donor and international organizations for their support. The Minister highlighted issues related to future prospects, rural and agricultural development strategy of Adjara region and brought forward implemented and planned activities in the agro food sector of Adjara region.
Under the frame of the conference, participants discussed specific project proposals for international and donor organizations and identified areas for future cooperation.

The Members of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, representatives of Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Batumi City Hall, international and donor organizations attended the International Donor Conference.

This year, the International Donor Conference was held for the first time in Adjara region. The aims to provide international community with the detailed information on the priorities of regional development as well as their implementation and enhance cooperation between the Government of Adjara Autonomous Republic and donor organizations.
