Georgian wine to export in Korea was discussed at the meeting

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani met with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Georgia,  Kim Se Woong.

The sides discussed possibilities to further develop trade-economic relations between Korea and Georgia, opportunities to export Georgian wine to Korea and drew their attention to the future cooperation issues .

Khatia Tsilosani underlined the importance of the project "Georgia - Homeland of Wine", under which Georgian wine exhibitions were successfully held in France and Japan. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea offered to hold a similar exhibition in the Republic of Korea, which will be another step forward in the diversification of Georgian wine export market and promotion of Georgian wine export in the South East Asia.

At the meeting, Kim Se Woong underlined the importance of friendly relations and close cooperation between the countries. He also noted, that Georgian agricultural products have great potential to export and active communication and cooperation between the state and the private sector will further contribute to strengthen trade-economic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea.

The chairman of the National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhulsa, representatives of the Agency and wine producing companies attended the meeting.
