A new center for visitors and a cognitive-entertainment attraction - rope Adventure Park opened in Algeti National Park

A new center for visitors and a cognitive-entertainment attraction - rope Adventure Park was opened in Algeti National Park, Tetritskaro Municipality to support the development of ecotourism .

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, Hubert Henry and Deputy Head of the Project Department of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Mr. Kathaline Herman opened the ceremonial event.
Algeti National Park Visitors' Center was built with the support of the German government and German Reconstruction and Development Bank (KFW), while new eco-tourism attraction - rope Adventure Park was built under the  EU-supported project "Sustainable development of Tetritskaro municipality", Association of regional development for future Georgia (RDFG), European Union representation, German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the German Reconstruction Credit Bank (KFW) and in cooperation with Georgian Farmers' Association (GFA).

"With the creation of new infrastructure and development of protected areas, we create new economic opportunities in the regions. New policy of the Agency for Protected Areas aims to  improve conservation activities and increase interest of  private sector in implementing investment projects, which subsequently facilitates to the development of ecotourism and protected areas.
The Algeti National Park is a protected area in Georgia, distinguished by its unique biodiversity. Implementation of important financial investments, new eco-tourism infrastructure will be equipped with modern standards  in dambashi canyon.

The modern visitor's center will fully exploit the tourism potential in the region. Development of tourism will improve the socio-economic situation of local population, on the other hand, local and foreign tourists will get acquainted with the unique nature and sights of Georgia  "said Levan Davitashvili.
Within the event, the guests visited new visitors' center and rope adventure park. Visitors will have an opportunity to get information as well as recommendations on the protected areas additional sightseeing of the region.

A new eco-tourism cognitive attraction - rope Adventure Park is divided into two zones (for family and adolescents) and includes various obstacles.
Vano Grigolashvili, chairman of the Association "Regional Development for Future Georgia" (RDFG), Klaus Vigel, Director of the South Caucasus Regional Office of KFW and Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, Valerian Mchedlidze attended the event.
