The representatives of central and local authorities held meetings with the residents in the villages of Perevi and Chala, Sachkhere municipality.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Yuri Nozadze provided local residents with the information on the projects implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

“We conduct regular meetings with the locals and receive information on their needs and problems directly from them. Moreover, we plan to draw up a budget for supportive activities based on the information we receive from local residents " Yuri Nozadze said.

The  Deputy Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs Tamar Gabunia and State Attorney in Imereti region,  Zviad Shalamberidze accompanied the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The representatives of the local authorities highlighted projects that will be implemented in Sachkhere municipality; Their focus was set on the effectiveness of the rural program as well as successful infrastructure projects.

 “We  meet with the residents of Sachkhere municipality together with the representatives of the central government and regional administration and get acquainted with their problems. We think, that direct communication is much more effective "said Imereti State Representative of Imereti region,  Zviad Shalamberidze.

The local residents of villages Perevi and Chala noted, that employment and water related problems are basic needs in the villages . The sides brought forward prospects of trout farming development in Imereti region.
