Vincent Ray: "Georgia is a stable and important partner"

The first meeting of the board of the UNDP program “Improving Rural Development in Georgia” was held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia under the frame of the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD III).

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani chaired the meeting.
Khatia Tsilosani expressed her gratitude to the Head of Cooperation at the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, Vincent Rey and UN Resident Coordinator and Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Georgia, Louisa Vinton for their support and assistance. At the meeting, the Deputy Minister underlined the importance of successful results achieved within the current projects. 

“With your assistance, we have taken important steps towards inclusive agricultural growth , environmental protection and sustainable development of natural resources. We appreciate fruitful and successful cooperation with your organization ” said Khatia Tsilosani.
According to Vincent Rey, Georgia is a stable and important partner, which has a great potential for agricultural and environmental development in the country.

It is worth noting, that the program implemented by the United Nations Development Program with the financial support of the European Union aims to promote inclusive agricultural growth, evidence-based sectoral policy and provides a support to institutional change.

The representatives of the EU Delegation, UNDP and the relevant agencies of the Ministry attended the meeting.
