Meeting with the residents of Ozurgeti municipality villages

 The representatives of the central and local authorities met with the local residents in the villages of Ozurgeti municipality.

Georgian government officials received information  about the needs of the residents living in the villages Dvabzu, Gaghma Dvabzu and Melekeduri. The participants set their focus on the planned and ongoing infrastructure projects being implimenting in the municipality.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani introduced local population with the agricultural development projects.

“ We hold intensive meetings in the regions, which aim executive and legislative bodies to provide local population with the information on the current and planned projects. A number of important issues were identified during the meetings in Guria region, including the importance of access to information.

It is noteworthy, that many beneficiaries have benefited from agricultural projects in Guria region. However, we see a great potential and Georgian Government is ready to support all interested person to get the maximum benefit from the programs funded by the Government of Georgia ”said Khatia Tsilosani, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

The residents addressed the need for agronomy along with other issues, including regulation of roads and gasification.

The Members of the Parliament, Guria District Attorney, Ozurgeti Municipal Council Chairman, Ozurgeti Mayor and other representatives of local authorities attended the meeting.
