After the internship, young people find employment at the Ministry

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili hosted the young people, who after the internship program were employed in the Environmental Assessment Department of the Ministry.

Levan Davitashvili wished youngsters the success in their future endeavours and noted, that they are provided with an opportunity to apply accumulated theoretical knowledge into practice and gain a valuable work experience.

 “The Ministry is a policy-making body. As you are all aware, environmental field faces enormous challanges. The Environmental Assessment Department of the Ministry plays an important role in shaping the standards and approaches we work on. Your attitude is necessary and important for us. Subsequently, our agency is a place where you will see the challenges from a different angle, in other contexts, in the end, you will change your thinking scale and willingly get engaged in the activities of the agency” said Levan Davitashvili.

According to the Minister, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture cooperates with a number of higher educational institutions and constantly hires young adults. 

The student at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, Salome Gogilashvili noted that, challenges facing the environmental field is very important for all, especially for an ordinary citizen and environmental manager being in the right place at the right time is a matter of importance.

An internship at the Department of Environmental Assessment will help her to further enhance her knowledge and skills, as well as to develop and maintain her professional performance.

The Head of the Environmental Assessment Department, Maia Beradze attended the meeting at the Ministry.
