Japan’s Non-Project Grant Aid for Provision of Japanese SME’s Products for Georgia"" (FY2013 and FY2014 - remaining amount)
The aim of the Non-Project Grant Aid is contributing to promotion of the economic and social development efforts by the government of Georgia. It is planned to purchase the equipment, preliminary agreed with National Environmental Agency (NEA) that will enhance NEA’s capacity in hydrometeorological forecasting and improve early warning system.
The Japanese SME’s Products will be procured by Japan International Cooperation System (JICS) and delivered by a respective contractor to NEA. Afterwords, they will be installed with NEA's specialists at preliminary selected locations, in particular:
2 Automatic Weather Stations for Seaport will be installed at Batumi and Poti Seaports, 4 River Water Level Meter Stations will be installed on the rivers: Natanebi (Natanebi community), Gubazeuli (village Nabeglavi), Bzhuzha (village Gomi) and Khobistskali (Khobi city), while Data Collection and Management System will be installed at Communication Center of NEA's central office.
Expected results
Increased capacities of NEA in the field of hydrometeorological forecasting and improved early warning system.
