In accordance with the Law of Georgia “On Ambient Air Protection” and the obligations of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union, the Ambient Air Quality Management Plan for the Tbilisi Agglomeration for 2024-2026 was developed and approved by the Decree of the Government of Georgia No. 1361 of September 17, 2024. The Tbilisi Agglomeration for Ambient Air Quality Monitoring and Management includes the Tbilisi Municipality.
The Plan was developed with the support of the European Union, within the framework of a working group established by the Ministry, which included representatives of government agencies, local authorities, the Parliament of Georgia and non-governmental organizations. The Plan was developed in accordance with the Resolution of the Government of Georgia No. 629 of 20.12.2019 “On Approval of the Procedure for the Development, Monitoring and Evaluation of Policy Documents.”
